Hire a campervan in Bâle-Mulhouse
Our Basel Mulhouse Wevan rental location, located on the Blue Park parking lot right next to the Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg International Airport offers a wide range of campervans which will enable you to explore the many sites and outdoor activities of the region. This is a major crossroad in Europe, standing between France, Switzerland and Germany, the Vosges Mountains, the Jura Range and the Alps. Just choose your trip and the campervan that fits it.
Less than an hour away from our rental location, Alsace’s famed Wine Route winds its way through reputed vineyards such as Sylvaner, Gewurtstraminer, Riesling... and some of France’s “Most Beautiful Villages”, Eguisheim, Riquewihr, Hunawihr, Mittelbergheim… You’ll be driving along the foot of the Vosges Mountains, and you can hike or bike the magnificent trails in the wilderness of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Natural Park . Its summits, the Grand Ballon, the Hohneck, the Kastelberg will offer unforgettable views. Beyond the Alsace plain, you’ll cross the Rhine River to reach Germany, where the Black Forest streches on the Land of Bade-Wurtenberg. From Freiburg to Baden-Baden the region is peppered with pretty villages, such as Sasbachwalden, whose typical half-timbered houses won it many times its title of “Most Beautiful Village” of Germany.
WeVan also suggest Switzerland as a premium destination for your campervan adventure from our Basel-Mulhouse rental location. Drive from lake to lake amongst the most beautiful Alpine summits. From Basel, the Zurich Lake is one hour away, then on to the Zug Lake, followed by the Lucerne Lake and the city of the same name and its famed Covered Bridge. Further on you’ll wander along the Brienz Lake, separated from the Thun Lake by the aptly named Interlaken City.Your road meanders through bucolic landscapes where you would expect to meet Heidi herself at every turn. This is a barely romanticized picture… Switzerland features 18 summits over 4000m, Matterhorn and Jungfrau being the best known among them. Outdoor sports fans will be spoiled, be it in summer, when they can go hiking, biking, rafting, canyoning, paragliding and even sailing, or in winter with skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice-skating and more, on offer. Thanks to your campervan now equipped with an independant heating system, you’ll be free to try out such major Swiss winter resorts as Zermatt, Saint Moritz or Gsaad at a lesser cost.
Our Basel-Mulhouse rental location can be the starting point of another wonderful road-trip to the Lake Constance and to Bavaria all the way to Munich. Explore the small towns scattered along the banks of the lake, such as Rorschach on the Swiss side or Lindau on the German side. And before you reach the Garmisch-Partenkirchen resort, location of the 1936 Olympic Games, park your campervan at the foot of the castles of Ludwig II of Bavaria : Neuschwanstein, Herrenchiemsee and Linderhof. A tour in Bavaria cannot be complete without visiting one of the numerous Bavarian baroque churches among which the Wies church could well be the finest.
Our team of professionals at the We-Van Basel-Mulhouse agency will be happy to help you plan your next campervan adventure.
