The fish of Brittany
Finistère and west Morbihan are endowed with a high quality river network rich of trout, salmon and shad. The Ellé river, known as the most salmon-teeming river in Brittany, the charming Aven river or the Scorff river, all shelter wealthy populations of trouts and salmons. The smaller rivers, on the other hand, are populated by fario trouts. Amateurs of pike’s fishing will find an endless choice of fishing spots from Nantes to Brest, lake St Michel and many ponds. And if you are looking for a trophy fish, from 3 to 5 kg, you can catch bass fish from the coats or from a boat specially equipped for fly fishing ( 2 persons max).
